One Insane Channel

Welcome to Blip Soda — a one-man riot dressed up as a channel. We crash through film and editing with zero gatekeepers and way too much caffeine. You an editor? A filmmaker? Just a weirdo who likes cool sh*t? Good. Same here.

Editing isn’t just cutting clips — it’s story surgery, vibe-craft, and straight-up world-building with a laptop and stubbornness. We chew up performances, spit out timelines, and turn chaos into something worth watching.

This isn’t some corporate tutorial factory. It’s me — just me — throwing down my best, loudest, rawest takes. If you’re into that, pull up a chair. If you’re not? Doesn’t matter. The tent’s big, the door’s open, and you’re already part of it.

Welcome to Blip Soda. Let’s wreck some sh*t and make something unforgettable.

THE STATE OF FILMMAKING TODAY

The film industry’s stuck in this weird limbo — streamers eating up indie cinema, theaters forgetting what “magic” even means, and Nevada still fumbling its shot at building a real creative hub. Meanwhile, Hollywood’s coughing up $300M blockbusters that don’t even break even, while states like Georgia are out here raking in projects thanks to aggressive tax credits. Here in Reno, I’m watching the cycle play out: indie filmmakers have to bank on streamability just to survive, theaters don’t know how to compete anymore, and the state keeps dragging its feet on meaningful film incentives. If Nevada actually gave a damn, we could build something wild here — studios, stages, jobs, a punk-rock creative ecosystem where locals don’t have to move to LA to chase their dreams.
